This Mobility Meetup features an international panel: AstaZero (Sweden), Tuev Sued (Germany), Synopsys (USA), Carnegie Mellon (USA), Cybellum (Israel)
A unique format in which each panelist will present two slides depicting their vision of a cybersecurity testbed for transportation. This will be followed by moderated Q/A.
Our Panelists:
Peter Janevik, CEO - AstaZero
Peter Janevik is the CEO of AstaZero, an advanced test facility dedicated for active safety and automated vehicle technology in Sweden. He has a Master of Science in Applied Mechanics and Automotive Engineering. Peter started his automotive career as a crash test engineer at Volvo Car Group in the year 2000. Soon he took on the responsibility as Liaison Engineer for Jaguar/Land Rover as well as Aston Martin. He became Director for Active Safety & Chassis at Volvo Cars Shanghai in 2010. In 2013 Peter was hired by AstaZero as CTO and became CEO in 2017. His mission is to make AstaZero a world leading test bed for R&D in the automated transport industry.
Christian Pahlke, Head of Software & Systems Quality - TÜV SÜD, Mobility Division
Christian is a Tech Manager driven to generate distinguished impact for organizations that depend on safety and security of automated driving technologies. HE has worked in several areas in the automotive industry: ramp up, innovation, growth, strategy, sales & marketing, international project management, and race car development.
Chris Clark, Senior Manager – Synopsys, Automotive Group
Chris Clark, a senior manager in the Synopsys Automotive Group, is a 23-year veteran of the IT world who uses his experience in automotive systems, embedded device testing, and cybersecurity practices to help automotive organizations effectively integrate meaningful security solutions into their environments. Chris holds a master’s degree in cybersecurity from the University of Maryland University College and has also earned numerous certifications throughout his career. Chris also participates with standards bodies to ensure effective security requirements are included in the development of future standards. He is currently focused on helping customers in the automotive field minimize their cybersecurity risks and build a more cyber resilient future.
Asaf Atzmon, Automotive Strategy Lead - Cybellum
Asaf is a seasoned manager with over 20 years of experience in general management, innovation, product strategy, product management & marketing and business development. He advocates user-driven product design and design thinking methodologies to build a successful product strategy with high chances of a market-product fit. His expertise spans a diverse set of domains including Cybersecurity, Automotive, IoT, Networking, Digital TV, IP Television, Content Recommendation, Video Networking, Consumer Web & Mobile.
Sekar Kulandaivel, Carnegie Mellon University
Sekar is an ECE PhD candidate at Carnegie Mellon, where he is advised by Vyas Sekar and has research appearing in IEEE S&P `21 and USENIX Security `19. He received his BS in 2016 from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude as a Meyerhoff Premier Scholar and an Outstanding Senior with Honors. Sekar has interned at Bosch RTC-NA, STEER Tech and MIT Lincoln Lab on projects related to his interest in automotive network and systems security.
